Soframe, a subsidiary of the Lohr group, specialising in armoured vehicles, based in Hangenbieten (Bas-Rhin), has been chosen to equip the national gendarmerie with 90 new vehicles.
Soframe, an armoured vehicle manufacturer based in Hangenbieten (Bas-Rhin) and a subsidiary of the Lohr group, has won the call for tenders launched in the spring of 2020 by the Ministry of the Interior to renew the national gendarmerie’s fleet. 90 armoured law enforcement vehicles (VBMO) have been ordered from the Alsace-based ETI for an estimated amount of 57.4 million euros. Soframe won the contract against major players such as Arquus (ex-Renault Trucks Defense) and Nexter.
