Launched in 2021 with funding from the stimulus plan, the Centaure programme is now gradually being rolled out to a number of gendarmerie units (mobile gendarmerie squadrons, GIGN branches, the national training centre for gendarmerie forces, etc.). Versatile and robust, this new gendarmerie intervention vehicle will become an operational means of protecting the French people, the gendarmes and the national territory.
