The Caesar cannon, a famous French artillery piece now in great demand by the Ukrainian army, has its origins partly in Duppigheim, in the workshops of the Lohr group.
Legend has it that the idea was born in the mind of the late Robert Lohr himself. This is impossible to verify today, but the archives of the eponymous group he founded bear witness at least to the involvement of the teams in the genesis of the Caesar gun, an artillery piece combining precision and mobility.
